A non -governmental organization based in Abuja. Helpline foundation for the Needy has donated the sum of N150,000 for the medical treatment of a baby with abnormal growth in her right cheek.

The baby, Chinasa Onako, whose face has been disfigured by the abnormal growth on her right cheek, came to the corporate office of the NGO in Garki in company of her mother and other spirited Nigerians to solicit for medical treatment abroad.

Chinasa has a health condition that has deformed her right cheek which her handlers said would require the sum of N5 million to correct in India.

Moved by the plight of the baby the president of the helpline foundation for the needy, Mrs Jumai Ahmadu said the foundation believes that the baby chinasa deserved to be fairly treated by the society through financial supports that would help her get her facial growth corrected.

Ahmadu said the foundation was founded to support genine cases like that of chinasa and encouraged private members of the public as well as corporate bodies to see chinasa as a gift of God to Nigeria that could positively affect the nation for the good of the future.
